Her Tower Shall Stand Alone By Mine

I’m going to share one of my favorite things in the whole world with you today. It comes from a document called The Gospel of the Beloved Companion.

It is a gospel attributed to Mary Magdalene. It is similar to the Gospel of Mary Magdalene, but better.

“Then Miryam, the Beloved companion, took a jar of oil of pure and expensive spikenard and poured it upon the head of Yeshua and anointed him. And the house was full of the sweet fragrance of the ointment.

And seeing what she had done, the disciples therefore grumbled against her amongst themselves.

But hearing this, Yeshua said to them, “Leave her be. She has anointed me for what I am come to do, and done what she is appointed to do. Only from the truth I tell you, whenever they speak of me, what she has done will also be told in memory of her. You do not know or understand what she has done.

I tell you this: When all have abandoned me, only she shall stand beside me like a tower. A tower built on a high hill and fortified cannot fall, nor can it be hidden. From this day forth, she shall be known as a tower to my flock and the time will soon come when her tower shall stand alone by mine.”

An interesting side note, the word Migdala means tower in Hebrew. Some suggest that the name we associate with Mary–Magdalene was really Migdala.
I recently came across this scripture in Proverbs: 18:10  "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.”

Back to the quote from The Beloved Companion, this part is the part I love so much: “When all have abandoned me, only she shall stand beside me like a tower…and the time will soon come when her tower shall stand alone by mine.”

Two fortified towers standing on a hill cannot fall.

The worth of a Godly woman who will stand with her husband is immeasurable. A man who has a wife that will stand alone beside him when all others flee, can accomplish anything. Truly, she is his superpower.

The greatest value a woman brings to her husband is not necessarily her skillset, education, status or career, etc. It is how she can help support the overall mission of her King and their Kingdom. Feminine energy is not built to focus on the external world; she is made to receive from the spiritual and manifest into the external world. She is the portal through which life moves from the spiritual into the physical. She is the creator who expands into her creations.

Truly, all the things a man may desire will never compare with being given access to the fullness of a virtuous woman's heart, to be given the crown his wife has for him buried deep within her heart.
